Monday evening’s CUSD2 board meeting was filled with potential bass fishing team members. However, anticipated action regarding the Herscher High School Bass Fishing Team was put on hold due to the absence of HHS Principal, Brad Elliot, whose son was born that morning. The student anglers were advised that next month it would be addressed again.  

Administrative and Unit Office Staff salaries and contracts for 2019-2020 were approved. 

Limestone Grade School construction appears to be running on schedule pending asbestos removal, change orders and technology wiring and set-up. 

Regarding personnel, Certified Retirement Notices were accepted for the following teachers: Kathy King, HHS Special Education – effective end of 2022-2023 SY, Dawn Lovell, LMS Gr 5 Social Studies – effective end of 2021-2022 SY, Patti Galeaz, BGS RTI – effective end of 2022-2023 SY, and Cheryl Hudgens, HIS Gr 4 – effective end of 2023-2024 SY.  

Certified Resignations were approved for: Amanda Williams, HHS English - effective end of 18-19 SY, Mallory Fajman, HIS Gr 3 - effective end of 18-19 SY, and Beth Daverin, HHS English - effective end of 18-19 SY.  

Non-Certified Resignations were accepted from: Kelley Turner, HIS Parapro - effective end of 18-19 SY, Nancy Kramer, LMS Parapro - effective end of 18-19 SY, and Amanda Basham, HIS Parapro - effective end of 18-19.   

Certified Hires were: Kaley Ponton, LMS ELA, David Scholl, HHS English and Creative Writing Club Sponsor, Nicole Cracraft, HHS English, and Kelly Knobloch, HHS FACS/Tech/Ag/Asst. FFA.  

Rebecca Arends was hired as a district-wide Physical Therapist, and David Payne was hired as HHS Strength & Conditioning Coach. Michelle Roberts will be the new HHS Prom sponsor.
