Herscher Area Historical Society is ready for it’s second annual Christmas Treasures and Décor Sale. It will be held Saturday November 14th and Sunday November 15th 9:00am – 3:00pm.
Donated Holiday decorations and gifts have been creatively repurposed by talented members of the community for the benefit of ongoing expenses of the organization.
In addition to the countless items for sale at reasonable prices this is an ideal time to visit the Anderson House 161 W Myrtle Street, the second Museum of the Historical Society. This house was built by the first mayor of Herscher and has been redecorated and furnished with an amazing collection of artifacts representing the early 1900.
Both the house decorated for holidays and the Annex, display farming memorabilia, tools, and things one would have found outside or in the cellar years ago, and will be open for tours the same hours as the sale.
