After two years in the Tri-Parish Catholic Communities of St. Margaret Mary, St. James the Apostle, and Sacred Heart, Father ShowReddy Allam will give his last message to his congregations during the weekend of August 31 – September 1.

His next assignment will be director of two orphanages and a school in India.  It is a mission that he has supported for many years. The orphanages, which started 10 years ago, house 60 boys and 60 girls. The school serves 400 impoverished students.

The children are fully boarded and all expenses are paid for by the church. Father Allam states, “Through education, we can break the cycle of poverty.”

Father Allam shares that he has had great support the past two years while he has been in the Herscher area. He concludes, “It has been a wonderful experience to work here. I will miss Herscher, but I am planning on coming back to visit.”
