FFA Auction Raises $33,000

Saturday’s rainy weather didn’t affect the attendance at this year’s FFA auction. Hundreds gathered in the Herscher High School cafeteria to show their financial support for the FFA Alumni auction.

Beginning with a free pork chop dinner, Herscher’s FFA members played host to a cafeteria filled with generous buyers and enthusiastic volunteers.

Proceeds from the auction allow students the opportunity to participate in the many conferences and activities related to Agriculture Education, for example, State FFA Convention, State FFA Leadership Camp, Officer Training, Kids’ Day at the farm and many more.

Larry Haigh,  HHS FFA advisor, states, ““I greatly appreciate the support of the community for this great organization. It is great to see the community come together and support one another. “

Andria Denault, FFA President adds,“The Officers and members worked really hard to put this event together. We enjoy seeing everyone from the community gather every year to support the Herscher FFA.”
