Kamden Lockwood  Leads the Class of 2021

Kamden Lockwood, son of Brian and Tamara Lockwood of Bonfield, is the Herscher High School valedictorian for 2021.

He will present the valedictory speech at the graduation ceremony scheduled for Saturday, May 29 at 7 PM in Seebach Stadium.

(The rain date is Sunday, May 30 at 7 PM.)

Throughout his high school career, he has been involved in a variety of activities including cross country (captain), track (co-captain), swimming, math team, academic challenge team, National Honor Society, and Students for Environmental Awareness (co-president).

Lockwood has a grade point average of 5.30 and has plans to attend Missouri University of Science and Technology, majoring in mechanical engineering.

He has been awarded the Missouri University of Science and Technology Distinguished Scholar Award, Kummer Vanguard Scholarship, Honors Academy Scholarship, along with the Donald J. and Awilda P. Mathews Endowment Scholarship and Fellowship. 

In addition, he achieved All-Area and All-Conference Cross Country, All-Area track, and ACES with a 4th place finish in state.
