Need Schoolwork Help? Come to the Library
Now that Labor Day is over, Fall is on its way. And that means we are shifting back to school even more. Life in a pandemic makes our usual routines less routine, which doesn’t help when you need to get school work done. That’s when Limestone Township Library District (LTLD) can be your handy helper.
Need more information for a paper? Check out our non-fiction section. Even if we don’t have the exact book you are looking for, we can order it from another library and have it delivered to LTLD. If your child is required to read Monarch, Bluestem, Caudill, or Lincoln Award Nominated books, we have them.
We have a wealth of material that can bring needed resources to projects. Our discovery boxes and soar bags give materials for a variety of subjects. We have kits, a microscope with slides, and binoculars you can check out.
Please be aware that LTLD allows children under the age of 17 in the library only during our All Ages Time Blocks on Tuesdays from 10:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. and Saturdays from 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. This gives families and students two full days of library time. If items come in on days other than our All Ages Time Blocks, families are able to use our Contact-less Curbside Service for pick-up.
At LTLD, the public access computers are now socially distanced. Patrons and visitors can be on the public computers for a 30-minute time period two times per day. Printed copies are still $.20 per page for black and white or $.50 per page for color prints.
In September of every year, LTLD celebrates National Library Card Sign Up Month. With a library card, you can check out books, movies and other materials from our library. Card holders are able to access our e-resources on our website as well as use the LIBBY app for e-books. It is also possible to order books from other libraries to be delivered to Limestone or use that card at other libraries.
Should you want to get a library card, you need to bring a driver’s license, and a piece of mail such as a utility bill or a voter’s card to show proof of residence. If you live outside of Limestone Township, you will want to call to see if you live in another’s library’s district or if you are in the non-resident area. Bonfield residents are served by the Fossil Ridge Library in Braidwood. Those people in our non-resident area will pay an annual fee for library services.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at 815-939-1696, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or message us at Facebook or Instagram. Our website, www.limestonelibrary.org, has more information about how to get a card and our e-resources, including Axis 360, Consumer Reports, and DMV tests
