Wade Harvey, a 1992 Herscher High School graduate, was diagnosed with Covid-19 on December 26, 2021. Two days later he was hospitalized.

By Jan 8th, his health had declined to the point that he had to be intubated and sedated for over 20 days. During that time, a trach was placed and his kidneys began to fail.

Over the past two and a half months, he has endured several more complications and setbacks, and has been transferred to and from 5 different hospitals.

Although not expected to survive, Wade has shocked his doctors and will soon go to a rehabilitation facility to be weaned off the ventilator, and have his trach removed.

In addition, Wade will have to learn to walk, talk, and eat again.

Wade is the main financial provider for the family. His wife, Carrie is the full-time caregiver of her father, who lives with them.

The Harvey family has many medical bills and expenses which will continue during his long recovery. If you would like to assist the family financially, a GoFundMe has been set up in the name of Help The Harveys.

Or, if you prefer, checks can be made payable to his wife, Carrie Harvey, and sent to the Herscher Pilot at PO Box 709, Herscher, IL 60941, to be forwarded to the family.
