Steven Lee Bradley, 50, passed away on October 3, 2021 at Morris Hospital. 

He was born March 22, 1971 to Francis and Sue Bradley of Kankakee. On October 8, 1996 he married Johna Denault. Steve graduated from Herscher High School in 1988. He attended Fire Academy/EMT and was the head of the Fire Explorers of Western Springs. Steven was an EMT for 16 years and a Paramedic for 18 years. He was a Firefighter for 32 years. 

Johna Denault of Streator survives along with his three children; Steven (Erica) Bradley, Chase and Adalynn all of Dwight, his father; Francis Bradley of Limestone, 4 sisters; Carol Lloyd of Pontiac, Tammy Seeman of Oglesby, IL., Stefanie Hisel of San Antonio, TX., Stacy Whitten of Oglesby, IL., several nieces and nephews, one great nephew, mother and father in law; Vicki and Levern Denault, 1 sister-in-law; Holli Denault, 4 brothers-in-law; Joel (Claudia) Denault, John (Megan) Denault, Kristopher Denault, Nathan Denault. 

Steven enjoyed a long and varied career as a firefighter and a paramedic. He served at the following departments: Limestone (from which he later honorably retired), Herscher, Western Springs, Reddick, Dwight. He was currently employed by Superior Ambulance as a paramedic. In his spare time Steven enjoyed attending local high school football games. He was a member of the 1988 Herscher High School football which went all the way to the State finals that year. He was devoted to educating anyone about fire safety, especially children. 

Steven looked forward to traveling with his two younger children and to every Sunday to watch the Bears game with his oldest son, Steven. Steven also enjoyed woodworking, going to garage sales, and frequenting antique malls. He was an avid baker and a great cook. He loved to spend time fishing with the kids and decorating for Christmas. On two occasions, Steven won for best Christmas display. 

Preceding him in death were his mother and brother-in-law Fred Seeman. 

Visitation was held Friday, October 8, 2021 from 9 am to 12 pm at Herscher United Methodist Church with a Fireman Walk Through from 11 to 11:30 am before the funeral service at Noon. 

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
