Gregory “Greg” Alan Rubin, 66, of Milford, passed away Tuesday (June 18, 2019) at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
He was born June 5, 1953, in Kankakee, the son of Clarence C. and Elizabeth “Betty” Rewerts Rubin.
He married Judith “Judy” Manssen on Dec. 10, 1983, in Woodworth.
Greg was a rural postal carrier in Kankakee. He was a Lutheran school teacher in Jonesville, Ind., Cincinnati, Ohio, Summit and Woodworth. He also worked at T & D Metal in Watseka.
Greg enjoyed woodworking, Sudoku, Tetris Solitaire, science fiction and Neil Diamond music.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Rubin, of Milford; one daughter, Kristy Rubin, of Milford; two sisters, Cindy Rubin, of Kankakee, and Kathy (Philip) Schalow, of Rockford; one brother-in-law, Jim Manssen, of Danforth; and nieces and nephews, Peter, Micah and Melia Schalow, all of Rockford.
Gregory was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Jonathan David Rubin.
Visitation was at 9 am Tuesday, June 25, until the 11 am funeral service at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kankakee. The Rev. Karl Koeppen will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Danforth Reformed Cemetery in Danforth. Memorials may be made to the family.
