Typically Senior nights are something that is held at the end of the season as a way to capstone the high school athletes’ careers.

However, this past year has taught all of us to take nothing for granted, so Coach Peacock decided to have his team’s Senior night the first home game of the season.

The five Lady Tigers honored were: Gabby Deany, Reagan Muniz, Kyla Running, Emelia Schafer, and Haley Wagner.

Unfortunately, they were not able to pull out a victory, but the team showed a lot of fight in mounting multiple comebacks throughout the game.

Gardner started out fast and were ahead double digits in the second quarter, but the Lady Tigers fought back towards the end before half. However, the Panthers stretched the lead out again in the third quarter eventually going ahead 37-20 with only a couple minutes remaining in the third quarter.

The Lady Tigers showed they were a resilient bunch and battled back until the margin was only a 6 point game with 6 minutes remaining. Unfortunately, they could never get closer than that.

Missed free throws and turnovers really hurt their chances all evening. The Lady Tigers ended up falling by a final margin of 45-37. The Lady Tigers dropped to 0-2 on the season.
