The season is just getting started for the Herscher Ti-Gears. They had their first qualifier tournament at BBCHS on Nov 2nd.

They are now working hard to get ready for the next qualifying meet that will be held at Herscher High School on Dec 7th.  It will be in the main gym from 9 am - 12:30 pm.

There is no admission to come and watch.  There will be 9 local teams competing from 4 different schools.

Paxton has 3 robotics teams attending, with Kankakee having 4 teams, Bradley Bourbonnais has 1 team, and HHS has 1 team.

The meet will consist of 12 matches.  Each match will have 4 robots competing for points.  2 robots will be on a Red Alliance, and 2 robots on a Blue Alliance.

The alliances will change for each match, ensuring that there is always different robots paired with one another.  A team that is your alliance partner in match 1, may be your opponent in match 4.

In January, there will be another qualifying meet at Kankakee HS on Jan 18th.  The same schools and teams will be competing, getting ready for the regional tournament which will be held at Kankakee HS on Feb 8th.

The Regional Tournament consists of 27 teams, and will be held from  9 am - 5:30 pm. The regional tournament will determine what teams will progress to the State Tournament held at Elgin Community College on Feb 21 and 22.
